Photo Reflection of the Day #80: Tree Vs Snow

What Is It

A tree nearly buried by a snow bank near Salem Willows.

Why It's Today's Pick

I was out on my run today, when I was passing Salem Willows and came upon this masterpiece.  I was just fascinated by the idea of a tree growing out of a snow bank (even though it's not).  It was also strange because if you looked at it from a certain angle, you might not realize that it was surrounded in snow--but just grime and dirt.  That is, it looks almost buried with earth, not snow.  I also found the bareness of the image while contrasting with a warm sun that is (ever so slowly) melting it away.  It makes me wonder if the tree will survive.
